Dayana Romero

Sarah Mannaga
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Dayana is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association. She has a bachelor's degree in Counseling from Canada Christian College from 2005, a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University, and from the University of Liverpool, a Masters of Arts in Forensic Psychology (ABD). She has been a psychotherapist for over 11 years. She uses different forms of therapy but specializes in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Solution Focus Therapy. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Richard Piekarczyk-Vacca spent much of his early adult life in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Along with several courses of interest at  Mohawk College, he completed an undergraduate honours degree at McMaster University and a graduate degree in counselling and psychotherapy at the University of Toronto. He also completed a certification and workshops in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), A Clinical Trauma Intensive Training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Mental Health First Aid for the Veteran Community. He is fluent in English, Italian and Polish.

Sarah has a Master of Education (MEd) in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto; a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Brock University (research background in Neuropsychology and Behavioural Neuroendocrinology); and is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO); and she is a Member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).

Juan Carlos "JC" Labrador
Client Care and Case Manager

Juan Carlos is our client care  manager. He trained as a SMART Recovery professional facilitator. He is also attending Wilfred Laurier University and studying to be an addictions counsellor. JC offers 15 and 30 minute case management check-in services and Empowerment & Recovery Coaching. He will give you the tools and resources you need to keep yourself on track and help be accountable during your own recovery process.

Daniela Aguilar
Bilingual Psychotherapy Intern

Daniela Aguilar Santander is a psychological intern who treats Spanish speaking patients with depression & anxiety. She is currently treating patients virtually and joins us from the Universidad del Norte based in Barranquilla, Colombia, where is completing her bachelor's degree in psychology. She is under the supervision of Dayana Romero.

Baruch Weiss
Psychotherapy Intern

Baruch Weiss is a Masters level graduate student completing his internship to obtain his degree. Once he is finished, he will be applying to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario in order to become a registered psychotherapist. He is currently under the supervision of Dayana Romero.

Krystal Jackson
Operations Manager

Krystal Marie Jackson brings with her a lifetime of experience in all areas of leadership and management. She is a Sargent currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces for 23 Hamilton Field Ambulance.  She has over 27 years of service and a deployment with the UN on a Mission to Israel.  She believes dedication, loyalty and commitment are keys to both her professional and personal success. She promotes a balanced and disciplined approach to the work environment. We are thrilled to have her transition to the Operations Manger for Renova Recovery and treatment Centre.

Paulette Romero
Human Resources Manager

Paulette is the human resources manager, is originally from Colombia and was raised in New York City’s most fabulous borough, The Bronx. She has a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication and Spanish from the City University of New York – Baruch College and an associate’s degree in business management from CUNY LaGuardia Community College. She has prior experience as a translation and localization project manager for two translation agencies and was a litigation legal secretary at various New York City law firms for a span of eleven years. She is also fully fluent in English and Spanish and is a Certified Ontario Telemedicine (OTN) Coordinator.

Barkev Sivazlian
Public Relations Coordinator

Barkev earned an Honours BA in Political Science and Communication Studies from McMaster University and a subsequent postgraduate diploma from Humber College's highly regarded Public Relations Graduate program. Following his academic studies, he pursued a full-time career in PR. With amazing experience working in consumer-based agency PR houses, he had the great pleasure of working with prominent brands such as Molson, A&W and President's Choice Financial just to name a few. When not working, you can catch him hanging out with friends and family usually with a coffee in-hand. 

Chantelle Chapman

Cheyenne Williams
Indigenous Consultant and
Case Manager

Chantelle is always eager to greet visitors to our practice. Bringing with her a diverse background having worked in Customer Service, Health Care, and Administration. As a Naval Reservist, she brings her experience as a Qualified Human Resources Administrator.

Cheyenne is our indigenous consultant and specializes in this population. She is a member of the Cayuga Nation, Wolf Clan from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. She studied Child and Youth Work at Niagara College, as well as Mohawk College and has worked in the field periodically for about 13 years. She enjoys working in a supportive role and advocacy to assist people in making improvements in their lives.
